The GESEA – Level 1 (Bachelor) European Certification Course provides the necessary skills to learn how to handle laparoscopic and hysteroscopic instruments in the practice of minimally invasive techniques in gynaecological surgery.
It is essential for healthcare organisations to be able to objectively measure individual technical competencies and define the minimum entry requirements for surgical training in a real-life operating room environment. Aware of this need and committed to excellence, Hospital da Luz Learning Health has obtained European certification and is currently recognised as a GESEA Diploma Centre (Gynaecological Endoscopic Surgical Education and Assessment).
The Gynaecological Endoscopy Course aims to provide training and practice in minimally invasive surgical techniques, with the goal of acquiring proficiency in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic techniques included in the Karl Storz training modules.
Recipients:
Medical residents and specialists in gynaecology and obstetrics.
Main Goals
By the end of the course, participants should be able to handle laparoscopic and hysteroscopic instruments, using the correct techniques and procedures to obtain the European certification for the practice of minimally invasive gynaecological surgery.
Prerequisites

Have observed at least 30 endoscopic procedures.

Have attended at least one congress or workshop with an endoscopy component.

Have completed the e-Learning (subject to additional cost) on the Websurg platform and obtained the Certificate of Completion.
Duration
The course has an approximate duration of 4 hours.

Cancellation Policy
Requests received up to 2 weeks before the date of the training - 100% refund of the registration fee. After this period there will be no refund.
Hospital da Luz Learning Health reserves the right to cancel this training in the event of force majeure, and trainees will be informed in good time of the cancellation and refunded 100%.
